EASY HOLIDAY CURB APPEAL!
-Don’t go crazy with the decorations. Think “less is more”. Buyers will be picturing how they would decorate the house if they lived there. Save the giant inflatable lawn ornaments for next year or put them up in the backyard. Outline any interesting architectural details with a simple strand of lights.
-Make sure your home is well lit inside and outside. This will create a warm glow radiating from your home and light the way to the front door. Remember to keep the driveway and sidewalks clear of snow.
-Create an inviting front door by adding a simple wreath, a colorful new welcome mat and one or two planters with poinsettia plants or pine branches and pinecones.
-If you have a fireplace, neatly stack firewood outside the front door creating a visual clue that your home is warm and inviting.
-Hide the hats, mittens and winter boots in the closet for less clutter.
-Buy a thin Christmas tree which will take up less space in the room!
-Put away religious items. Not all buyers will be of the same faith as you and the goal is to attract a large variety of people.
-Keep presents stored out of sight. Presents everywhere creates clutter, as well as temptation.
-Take down the holiday decorations by Jan 1!
